I agree with Joel. Having the Comelec's earlier decision overruled by the SC and actually being allowed to participate was in itself a major triumph for Ang Ladlad.
even gays discriminate their "co-gays" (kapwa bakla/tomboy." hehe anyway, i wud've voted for this party list too if not for scheduled trips. i would have to say that this partylist actually serves a truly marginalized sector as opposed to other party lists who are not actually representing marginalized groups but rather serves their mere self-interest. durr.
I had people vote for Ang Ladlad for me (I wasnt registered). Unfortunately, they didnt win a seat. and yes, I was wondering how in heaven's name, with the number of gay people in the PI, Ang Ladlad didnt win. Either these "gays" are still in hiding they wouldnt dare vote for "ang Ladlad" or they were too tired the night before from Partying in Malate to bother voting. or wait, there was a liquor ban the night before.
Sadly they didn't make it. But to be allowed by the Supreme Court to run for Party List, well, that's a triumph for them already.
ReplyDeleteaw man. so many gay guys in the PI and it didn't make it.
